Nasal cautery, or nasal cauterization, is a procedure used to treat nose bleeds (epistaxis). Nasal cautery is where a chemical is applied to the mucous membranes in the nose to stop the bleeding. Cautery is a very effective technique for treating persistent nose bleeds.
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is caused by a problem in the inner ear when calcium carbonate crystals move from the membranous labyrinth to the semi-circular canals in the ear. It is often associated with ageing, head injuries or specific changes in your head's position; there can also be other causes. Vertigo may make you feel dizzy and nauseous, as if the room is spinning. You many experience balance problems. We can carry out manoeuvres that reposition crystals in the ear. Repositioning the crystals will help to relieve these unwanted symptoms.
